Dance Manager: Joey Comerford

Joey has extensive experience with predominately Irish Dance and percussive shows, in the capacity of chorus dancer, principle dancer, soloist and dance captain. He has also experience as choreographer and dance director. Other than dance competences he has relative TV, Theatre and corporate experiences. Joey is currently studying a Master of Arts in Dance Studies at Limerick University exploring aspects of repertoire, style, and choreography for a reflexive, critically aware, and embodied understanding of Irish dance performance practices. In addition, he examines contemporary dance choreographic techniques within the context of western theatrical dance, and body awareness studies. He is endeavouring to work with the Arts Council in developing dance education programs for young people through the Deis awards scheme in conjunction with the Irish World Academy and the Dance Research Forum Ireland.

Production Manager: Fred Rainert

Born in Dublin in 1966, Fred was destined from an early age to be linked with entertainment, (his mother having been a performer of a different sort, a tightrope walker in Circus Krone - Germany).

Working all his life in the hospitality & catering industry Fred has worked his way up through the ranks from Comis Chef to Business Manager, having owned his own restaurant in Kent, England, he really has tried a bit of everything.

Fred has been the dance production and commercial manager of Johnnie Fox's Pub since 2003 and in his time the troupe has grown to double the original size and the show itself at Fox's has changed a lot.

Many aspects are covered as the manager of any production, be the show a large "West End" production or a small local school production, Fred's role is no different. It is diverse and it needs to be as the Fox's troupe perform all year round, not just seasonal or for a few occasions at different venues. It is non stop at Johnnie Fox's (where Fred is based), so the requirements stretch even further. Fred covers the legal aspects, terms and conditions, contracts, etc. He liaises between dancers and clients, oversees payments, costumes, facilities, rehearsals, attendance, technical details and requirements, purchasing and so on. Fred also works closely with Belinda in her role as choreographer and supports her when and where ever needed. Fred doubts he will ever take to the boards himself, well actually he knows he won't unless they make the boards a lot stronger!
